As part of "Nevada Reading Month," Brig. Gen. Bill Burks read stories Tuesday about Red-Eyed Tree Frogs and a "Library Lion" to elementary school students.
Burks visited more than 20 first-grade students at Anderson Elementary School in Reno.
"I appreciate the chance to read a good children's book to a captivated audience of elementary school students," said Burks, the Nevada National Guard's Adjutant General. "Undoubtedly, the love of learning and reading remains strong in Nevada's youth."
